Ragnagoats War of Emperium 2024 - This is how it works!
Those of you who've been following the WoE developments on Discord will already have an idea about the upcoming first season of 2024, but we wanted to make sure that those who do not are aware as well. WoE will happen as follows:
Schedule
Due to the Core Mechanics Changes update (read more here) which occurred in mid-January, the representatives of our WoE guild voted to delay WoE for some time to allow everyone to get used to the changes and adjust their rosters. As such, the first WoE of 2024 is set for the 2nd of March 2024.
Additionally, our usual 11 week seasons with 2 weeks break in between were altered and are now 9 week seasons instead. You can find a visual representation of this on our WoE page.
Realm and Castle
For our first WoE season, we are revisiting Geffen's realm, Britoniah. The WoE representatives have voted for Bergel to be the castle to contend for. We look forward to seeing some goods fights!
Settings
A few changes to the WoE settings have occurred as a direct result of our WoE representatives discussing and voting:
- Taekwon classes, meaning Taekwons, Soul Linkers, and Star Gladiators, will not be allowed to enter First Edition castles once they are introduced at the end of the month. This will be revisited at a later time.
- After some deliberation and discussion, the WoE representatives also unanimously agreed to disable Mini Boss and MVP cards in WoE for the time being. The first season of 2024 will serve as a test. The staff will monitor the situation and continue to discuss it with the WoE representatives and community as needed.
- As part of the Core Mechanics Changes update, the Emperium defense will be reduced from 40+80 to 40+0 once Ice Pick becomes available on the 2nd of May 2024 with the release of Einbech Dungeon and its MVP, RSX 0806.
