We are very excited about this year's fourth seasonal event which begins when the server comes back up after maintenance on the 7th of December 2023 and ends when maintenance begins on the 4th of January 2024!
To start your journey, visit Santa, who traveled all the way from Lutie to Southern Prontera, to spread some holiday joy and also to seek your assistance!
Find Grampus!
One of the things Santa wishes to speak to you about is an issue with the presents he is supposed to deliver this year. Grampus, a particularly grumpy Baphomet Jr., decided to use this special time of the year to sow chaos and discord! Santa needs your help to find the wayward little demon to save Christmas!
After hearing him out and lending your aid, Santa will give you a means to pinpoint Grampus' location, though not 100% accurately. This special device will not only help you in your quest to find your target but will also boost your experience gained from monster kills by 10% as long as it remains in your inventory. There are only a few places Grampus can be at a time, so stay alert and communicate with other players to find him!
In addition to Grampus running rampant, wayward stolen presents roam Rune-Midgard and require collecting! You can return them to Santa for rewards, though there are also several special event items contained within which will only last until the end of the event. As with every seasonal event, the Ragnagoats Christmas/Winter event will grant you the opportunity to obtain special rewards - Majestic Evil Horns, Candy Cane in Mouth, Santa Poring Hat, and a Santa Suit Costume! Additionally, old ExcelRO Winter Event headgears (Santa's Hat and Rudolph Santa Hat) will also be up for grabs again.
Note: Our Santa Suit Costume is not a consumable that disappears once used, it is essentially a usable item that you can toggle and enjoy for as long as you like (though it disappears upon logout), similar to the Summer Costume. The "no attacking or using skills" restriction remains, however. The Event headgears also do not award any extra stats or boni.
Secret Santa returns!
Just like last year, we've decided to bring back a fan-favourite - Secret Santa! You may visit Santa in Prontera with an item you wish to send and he will tell you exactly what to do. Presents can then be claimed from Santa starting on the 24th of December 2023 until the event ends. Use this opportunity to make someone's day - or perhaps even their year - and be kind. Don't send silly or useless things... unless you are prepared for the possibility that Grampus comes to steal any presents headed your way!
